My contributions this year to the ImprovFriday collaborative music project.

In the Empty House: Loading the player ...; Lauren recorded this piano loop on the Steinway, sitting in the empty living room of my house upstate, and I added the effects, loops and harmonica.

There were barricades on Prince Street I thought it was a movie at first (Unexepected Elegy for Etan): Loading the player ...; I played this for a dance warmup in Soho, the night they started digging in the basement of a building nearby for the remains of Etan Patz, thinking about a little blond boy and long dark cobblestone streets, about this piece of history jutting into shopping-mall Soho, surrounded by tourists and shoppers staring back in time at a world they had never seen.
Leaving Again: Loading the player ...; I recorded the piano on the Steinway just before leaving Ithaca, and added the harmonica, loops and effects later.
